![]() "Count to a Hundred" is my new short film to be shot in early August. It is a ten-minute short film about Thomas, age 6, who finds himself bored on his family's farm so he starts to play hide and seek with his sister. While he hides in the farm shed, he witness two mysterious men enter and unload a strange sack. So Thomas starts to wonder: could this be a dead body? Then Thomas follows the two men as he tries to figure out just who they are. This is my newest project and one I am especially excited about because it feels like the beginning of my filmmaker's voice and style. I am drawing great inspiration from the films of Terrence Malick, leading me to treat the farm location almost like another character. I've started a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for this project, and I would love your support. The film was beautifully impressionist, a tribute to the great painter, Pierre-Auguste Renoir. It offers a glimpse of the life of the Renoir family and their relationships especially of those between Renoir, his son, Jean, and the actress/model, Andrée. But you can read my full review here. |
